Alison Park
I head the team at the National Centre which is responsible for the British Social Attitudes survey (which began in 1983) and the associated Scottish Social Attitudes survey (which began in 1999). Current work based on these surveys includes an examination of attitudes in Scotland towards a range of ‘moral’ issues (including abortion, sexuality, drugs and racism), and work on attitudes towards the family and marriage in Britain. Past work includes a wide range of projects focusing on social and political attitudes and electoral behaviour. In addition to my work at the National Centre, I have contributed towards BBC Television’s Election Night programmes since 1998. Research interests
